About Us

Taiwan has always been devoted to improving orchid industry into next era. The government, institutions for academic research, and whole orchid industry in Taiwan are working together to invent the possibilities of technology improvement, product development, and protection of variety rights in orchids.

 Recently, Taiwan had made efforts in conservation of promoting variety rights, investing in certification of orchid variety, and collecting global species, to continue the rich biodiversity on the earth. Relevant institutions for academic research are also actively participating in improving technologies of breeding, growing and pest control. In addition, diversified development is an important topic to promote orchids.

To adapt the new trends, the main topics for the 23rd World Orchid Conference 2024 (23rd WOC 2024) and the exhibition will be focused on Conservation & Preservation, Orchid Technology, and Life Application. Domestic and foreign scholars and experts from various orchid-related fields, as well as professionals from international botanic gardens will all be invited to the conference in Taiwan to exchange and share their valuable experiences. The exhibition will set up for different themes according to the scope of different regions and fields. Our goal is to present the vitality and diversity of Taiwan in the global orchid industry by integrating the diverse development of orchids into the conference and exhibition.
